Paulinian Nurses Shine in PNAA Awards Night
The Philippine Nurses Association of America held its 43rd National Convention on 6-10 July 2022 in the New York Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City.
Paulinians will be happy and proud to know that three St. Paul Manila Nursing alumnae, Lolita Compass (1967), Teresa Ignacio-Gonzalvo (1974), and Catherine Rubio (BSN 1989), were among the nurses given awards at the convention.
Lolita was the recipient of a Team Spirit Award in recognition of her work as Chair of the PNAA Global Affairs Committee 2021-2022.
Teresa Ignacio-Gonzalvo received a Service Award as Chair of the Ethics Committee and the Team Spirit Award, which recognizes her work as Chair of the PNAA Ethics Committee 2020-2022 and includes going above and beyond the call of duty, updating policies, leading the National Ethics Summit and developing the Ethics Handbook.
Techie is President-Elect of PNAA-Virginia Chapter and Lolita has been President of the PNAA.
At the same convention, Catherine Rubio received an award as a Community Health and Population Based Nurse.
All three are shining examples of the world class nurses that St. Paul Manila has been giving the healthcare industry.
