And Another Nursing Alumna Shines.. In Another Field
Aurora Pulido is a BSN 1969 graduate of St. Paul Manila, who practiced nursing also in the US for many years until her recent retirement. Having retired, she pursued her other passion, writing, and last year published a novel, The Seamstress with the Sampaguita Flowers. The book became quite a hit, so much so that Aurora was invited to join the biggest Book Fair in the US in Washington, DC in June. This is the annual ALS DC Book Fair, association of librarians, which was held in the National Mall. Since then, she has received reorders from the Eastwind Berkeley Bookstore, which has sent copies of the book to the San Francisco Public Main Library.
If anything, Aurora’s experience illustrates that Paulinian education prepares its graduates to explore many possibilities and opportunities and excel in them.
